Ads I've created in my free time

I am going through this creative phrase, where I have a zillion ideas popping out of my head and plan to put all the ideas onto my blog.

Do be patient as one day, you will get to seem them all.

There seems to be a widespread bullying in schools today, be it physical, oral or even cyber so I've created these 2 ads, playing with words using InDesign, to fit the climate and to educate students of what is happening in our schools.

Hopefully, when kids see these ads, they will hopefully change their attitude to each other.

The theme is: "Bullying is not cool for school"

I am using this blog as a platform for my work as a copywriter. Hopefully someone might like my work and we can work together to put more ideas into action.

Favourite Superhero?

Who is your favourite superhero?

For me, it would have to be Superman.

But not just any actor like Dean Cain, Tom Weiling or even Brandon Routh.

It has to be Christopher Reeve.

To me, he's the real Superman.

Even Nicholas Cages loves Superman, his son is called Kal-El!

Fast than a speeding bullet,

More powerful than a locomotive,

Able to leap tall buildings in a single bound.

Love the nerd outside but a man of steel underneath.

Living alone in the Fortress of Solutide.

Wonder who does his vaccuming though?

Disclaimer: After surfing the Net, I got a new superhero, the HULKster.
I don't mind carrying this load actually...

Tried but Failed

The only real failure in life is the failure to try.

Saturdays at Semaarn

I work as a Senior Hairstylist (Saturdays only) at Semaarn Salons at 226 Clarendon Street South Melbourne.

I love it because it allows me creativity and I love making all my clients beautiful!

The head honcho is Roland . He's a pretty funny guy. Very cool but also very serious about hairdressing. He's like a giant-koala-bear, you just want to hug him!

There's also Susan (Salon Manager), John (Principal Colourist), Catherine and Navi (Junior Stylists) and Charlize (Director of First Impressions)

The team is great because the energy is similar yet different.

Today, I managed to take a few photos of the salon.

p.s. if you are in the area, come in and whisper, 'theFword' and to me, it means I've managed to reach out to you using this medium. (plus a 30% discount on cuts and colours!)

But only to me because if you say it to Charlize or someone else, you might get a slap!!

Let's make the F word French: Frisson (pronounced, 'Frie-s-on')

It means a sudden surge of excitement.

Ooooooo le frisson!

Iconic Melbourne

For me, there is really no greater city than Melbourne. Love her architecture, quirky street names and artistic blend.

'Foolpy'

About 3 weeks ago, I was really stressed out with work and decided to reward myself by doing some online shopping.

My original plan was to look for a 2nd hand book by Bernard Cornwell but I got sidetracked and went a little berzerk...

...and in the end, I bought these instead.

One 27"iMac
Two bicycles
Four movies posters
Was going to buy a new TV for the World Cup but decided to cool off the credit card.
(Besides, I have till end May to score myself a sweet deal)

Anyways, the posters have arrived from the States and I picked them up last week from my local news agent/post office.

I love sci-fi, so they are from classic movies and from the new genre of movies.

1. The Day The Earth Stood Still (1951)

2. Tron Legacy (2010)

3. Kick Ass (2010)

4. Star Wars (1977)

How cool are they?

It was foolish but I'm happy

So, I created this F word -'Foolpy'

Oh... and if you're wondering about the book.... no I didn't get it in the end. Might try Savers next week.
